Snake belt?

This may seem like a stupid question but I was looking into purchasing a snake belt from Dell leather works for my confederate impression. My question Is can I wear it for early and late war? Or is it one of the things that got pass the blockade toward the end like the Tait jacket?

In my observations, the English Snake buckles were an intermitting hit and miss throughout the war.. Some state units both North and South had procured quantities of English made goods pre and early war... So would find sporadic evidence of their use. It wasn't solely a southern thing... yet resurfacing again mid-late war via blockade purchased/captured goods...
