Silver ingot?

Not sure I'm in the right place but I have question or two for some collectors out there. While looking through my box of silver coins I can across this round. It's about half dollar sized (probably 1/2 ounce)and for the sake of me I can't recall where it came from. Was this coin meant to be a collectors item and was there a series? And what's with "made in Germany"? Any info will be most welcome.

Wow, a Gettysburg Memorial 5-dollar piece. I wonder if at the time the price of silver was valued at that per weight?

That would be a few moons ago! Just something with a Confederate Flag on it makes it "collectible" to me.

Issued by Liberia from 1999 to 2001(?). The reverse should be clearly marked with country and date.

They are listed as 75% copper, 25% nickel. These were ordered by Liberia, minted in Germany & sold directly to collectors through European and American dealers, very few ever reached Africa -- only a small percentage of the profits did.

Tie a string around it, for memory's sake, and like a yo-yo, it may return.
Seriously, I have had that problem, but it is much worse when I can't find what I knew I once had.
