I have found several of these larely in a particular spot.. not sure if its a nose piece from hotchiss or just junk. Any help would be appreciated

I found something almost exactly like it up here in Virginia, on a friends property by the Bristoe Station battlefield. Is there a railroad anywhere near there?

These were washer for the bolts used to attach bridge timbers to a RR bridge. Is there a RR bridge close by?

I had found these myself, and I always thought it was something to do with an artillery carriage or limber.

I had myself almost convinced of it lol
