Thanks for the pics, Bill. I usually go to Antietam twice a year but due to illness have not been able to. Love this area and it's only a few hours from where I live.

Glad to see the path to the Burnside bridge is open. Last time I was there it wasn't open. Of course I could be dating myself.

I have always enjoyed Antietam. and happily would go back anytime I can.

Thank you for the pictures. I got to walk in my G-G grandfather's foot steps behind the Dunker Church. Gave me chills.

My G-G-Grandfather, Francis V Scholl, served in, Company D, 46th N.C. Infantry and fought in the West Woods.

Great Photos. Thanks for sharing. Antietam is one of my favorites as we have a Witness Pen from the large sycamore on the other side of the bridge which was there during the battle and is still there today.

No. Me too. The only place I feel more psychic pain from the land is Andersonville, Ga.

Just remember the guards suffered as the pows … Andersonville gets a bad name so does camp Douglas , and others as you the us starved the south from all resources while north had more and shared none

I've only experienced this "feeling" twice (possibly three times) in my whole life. The only other time I recall anything like it was here in Texas at the Alamo. Sacred Ground both times!
