Save TWICE as much battlefield land with one donation!

This Black Friday, while many people will be hitting the stores for deals and discounts, we at the Civil War Trust will be working to preserve hallowed ground at Cedar Creek.

It's the season of giving and we need your support to save the lands where our nation's solders fell, many years ago.

This parcel is located at the heart of the Cedar Creek battlefield in Virginia, adjacent to land you helped us preserve in 2012. This land is the site of a Confederate surprise attack on the morning of October 19, 1864 that brushed aside Union troops who valiantly tried to hold this ground.

We have an opportunity to save this hallowed ground for just $25,000. And we're already halfway there, thanks to a generous donor who has pledged to match your donation, dollar for dollar, up to $12,500.

Instead of searching the mall for deals today, help us save this crucial piece of American history for just half the price.

Our match only lasts until midnight on Giving Tuesday (December 1st)- the global day of giving. Take advantage of this special opportunity to double your impact with the match and let's save our nation's battle lands together.

With appreciation,

Jim Lighthizer
President

P.S. Help us save this crucial piece of American history for just half price when you donate through December 1st.
