I have been doing research on my family and recently found that my 5th great grandfather was Rev Jesse Pratt. He was the Captain of Company N of the 15th Missouri Calvary. He was essentially the cause of the Wilson Massacre. Outside of that story I don't know much about him besides that he was a preacher and served under Timothy Reeves. Would anyone happen to know more about him?

I found his Civil War service record on fold3.com. Unfortunately, it is very short. Confederate service records from Missouri and Arkansas are usually incomplete.

It says he enlisted from Iron County, Missouri. He was 58 years old, 5'8", with blue eyes and gray hair. He was born in Tennessee. He surrendered on May 11, 1865 with rest of the Army of Northern Sub-District of Arkansas. He was paroled on June 5, 1865.
