Renaming Army bases?

The Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army are open to name changes to military bases named for Confederate generals. Let us say this does happen, who should they rename the bases for? I would vote for World War One and World War Two generals. Renaming the bases for Civil War Union generals might cause some people to be upset. Fort Benning becomes Fort Sherman? I am not sure this would be a great idea.
