Removing heel plates

Hello everyone . I just got new brogans for my bday back in January. As the the reeanacting season is upon us I have not yet put heel plates on them . I was wondering if there is any way to take the ones off my old brogans and put them on the new ones. Is there away to do that ?

Apologies for the tardy response, been busy at work all day. I've never tried to pull old heal plates off. New ones are pretty inexpensive and always just got new ones. They are just nailed on so I'd imagine you could pry the old ones off or drill the nail heads and remove them that way.
