Impressions Regimental Cooks

I came across this photo of some buddies of mine at the Guarding Savannah event back in 2011 at Fort McAllister, Georgia. It is one of my favorite reenacting photos I have seen. The photographer was Wendell Decker and if you are familiar with his work you know his images are absolute top notch.

Bought it hook, line and sinker! The photo really looks authentic with the men being somewhat disheveled and quite thin. Thanks for sharing.

Really looks real! The one thing that doesn't sell it is the composition which has more sophisticated depth of field than seems right, with the wood in front. But everything else would have fooled me.
