With limited space on the library shelf I'm researching a possible candidate for a reading about civil engineer and United States Army officer George Meade. A 2015 thread here on CWT listed several possibilities including…

Searching for George Gordon Meade; The Forgotten Victor of Gettysburg. Stackpole Books, 2013 By: Tom Huntington

Ideally a balance to his career, rather than concentrating on Gettysburg, would be ideal. Would the above qualify or are there other recommendations? J.S.
