Recognize this regiment?

An infantry company stands at "Parade Rest" in front of a camp near Washington. We can guess the location by the white gloves and shoulder scales worn by the men. A Brady photographer recorded three images of this formation (one of the band only) from each end of the line. Unfortunately no information is given as to the identification of the regiment. Does anyone spot a clue that can narrow the search for who these men are? The detail shows a large house in the background.

Great picture of the field music! (Not a band.) At least one of the fifers clearly has a mouthpiece on his instrument. The others might too, but it's hard to tell. Also rare to see so many bird cage frocks with shoulder scales on every musician in the unit. They all look older and well fed, esp. the drum major. Could be US Regulars, but the stripes on the trousers of the enlisted men and the guy in the back with white trousers are curious. He appears to be watching.
