If you can read thru all the "goodies" on the plaque, it explains the goings-on at Duffields.
 
These are of Potts-Neer Mill in Loudon County, Va. We were told this was the last "surviving" structure of "The Burning".

During the 2023 CWT Winchester/Cedar Creek/New Market Muster, I remember the Park Ranger at Cedar Creek talking about "The Burning". That was the first time I had heard of it.
 
As a final posting of our trip, here are a few photos I took at the National Civil War museum in Harrisburg, Pa. Definetly worth a visit.
