Really? Christmas Week?

Somebody thinks you need a degree in gender studies to host the CWT Ladies Tea and they're going to vet your threads to be sure you pass muster? Well! :giggle:  :mstickle: What do you need that for anyway - the posts on here are FANTASTIC, always informative and just plain fun. Like my granny used to say, some people are educated past their intelligence. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, though. Used to do an 'ethnic studies' Native American class at the university around here and somebody thought I needed a degree for that. I dunno...do they give degrees in how to Indian? Well, keep on truckin' and doing the great job you and 18th Virginia do so well - Merry Christmas! (Even to the Grinch...!)

HA! Had a relative take one of those classes, once. He had so much original source material that instructor came to his house to study it. Eventually, the relative became a guest lecturer for the class :)

I would like to see more photos like the OP. More lovey-dovey, less fighting:)

What I like a lot is seeing all the photos. I had a discussion with a cousin that I haven't seen in awhile and we were laughing about family stories and old family albums with photographs that even our Grandmother didn't know who the ancestors were. Sometimes I feel like we're all here in Ladies Tea trying to put together the various family stories from all across the country during the Civil War.

It's good to know how much others enjoy seeing the photographs and images as well.

Keep doing your good work and don't let someone else bother you too much!!.....We come here to learn from each other, not to be "talked down" to by others!!
In some of my posts on the Food Forum, some people have added to the things that I have said, and for that, I am grateful, as my readers of my posts and I have learned something. This is different that your recent experience, I know, but my point is that people who TRULY mean to educate are beneficial and welcomed! People who are adamant about "knowing more" than anyone else are too condescending for my tastes....
My purpose on CWT is to learn and teach, in that order.
Thanks!
Merry Christmas!

Thank you, @JPK Huson 1863 and @18thVirginia, for hosting such an enlightening and even entertaining forum. As I'm a relative latecomer to learning about the Civil War and have probably done at least as much reading online as in books, I've run across many Web sites and blogs (some scholarly) that have been very informative and helpful, but CWT's "Ladies' Tea" is the place I continually return to when I want to know about domestic and civilian life during the war years. Please know that I greatly appreciate your efforts! Merry Christmas, too!

JPK,

I have no idea what this thread is about. But every time I hear a certain Michael Jackson song I think of you. I heard 'Smooth Criminal' today.

Annie, are you OK?
So, Annie, are you OK?
Are you OK, Annie?
Annie, are you OK?
So, Annie, are you OK?
Are you OK, Annie?
Annie, are you OK?
So, Annie, are you OK?
Are you OK, Annie?
Annie, are you OK?
So, Annie, are you OK,?
Are you OK, Annie?

Keep up the excellent posts and Merry Christmas!
