Confederate Officers Card Index has an A. Langston, 2nd Lt., Co. I, 7th Texas Infantry Reg. Looks like that is Americus Langston, enlisted at Camp Beauregard, September 1861, promoted July 1863, died 1893 Rusk County - here's his Find a Grave

Married Emily E. Montgomery on December 1, 1859 in Rusk County, Texas. Married Dianisha A. Barham on March 21, 1867 in Rusk County, Texas. They had twelve children; 3 died as infants.

Leander Franklin Ely: Confederate Officers Card Index says A.A.I.G., Ector's Brig. as L.F. He was also Captain Company C, 9th Texas (Maxey's) from May 1862, later promoted to Colonel

Could S. Skipwith be 1st Lt Skipwith Coale? He was in Company A of the 38th Alabama.

I think the J W is correct but not Webb - the Ws look very different. Could it be J W Hebb? There was a John Wise Hebb but I can't link him to the 46th MS or Scott County.

Familysearch lists a Jr 2nd Lt. J. M. Wiles, who would match the company designation. Probably a misprint though...

Hello all,
I recently was able to view the parole records for the surrender of the Department of Alabama, Mississippi, and East Louisiana. In order to make them more easily understandable, I've begun to transcribe the flowing cursive writing into online text. However, I've been having some problems reading the names of these officers or finding somewhat of that name. I've attached a couple screenshots of the hardest ones to read so far; hopefully you guys will be better at it than me!
Note: The one that may or may not read "Skipwith" is of the 38th Alabama Infantry. All others are staff officers, or have their units clearly stated.

2nd line is Ryland Taylor Todhunter. He was a captain, AAG, wounded 5 times and died in 1921.
