Hello all

The Civil War leaves authors spoilt for choice regarding Union and Confederate regiments, brigades, divisions and corps that their characters can be a part of. For those of us who are authors - and those who are not - it would be interesting to see what units do/would populate your stories and why you chose the units you did.

Sorry but I am no author, but I do find this subject an interesting article to research.

I don't write but I think any unit could conceivably be the basis of a great story. They don't necessarily have to be involved in a dramatic battle or famous incident.
