Hello everybody. I keep this photo on my p.c since a long time, it seems to good to be true, do you think this is a real USCW photo, or a re-enactor ?

Welcome to CivilWarTalk. :)

I think this photo has been examined here in the past, and it was determined to be a reenactor. However, I could be remembering that wrong. So let's see what those in the know have to say. Someone should be along shortly.

Welcome from Pittsburgh, I am gonna go with the consensus on this, I believe that I've seen this pic listed as a reenactor shot.

Welcome to the forum from Alabama and whether it is Civil War or later; it's still a good picture.

Hi and welcome. I believe it's a reenactor. The visual clue I see has nothing to do with his uniform or equipment. He appears to be standing in a field of machine-cut corn. The stalks are all neatly cut at the same height. A modern combine with a picker head has harvested that crop.
