Puzzled About Georgia Cavalry

In the lineage of the 108th Cavalry Regiment
 
I think the layout and the links with it are what's confusing me.

Who is the "he" you refer to after bullet number 2? Are you trying to follow a specific person's war experience?
 
During 1861 the Georgia Hussars of Savannah, a volunteer militia company in Georgia with a long history, were mustered into the service of the Confederate States Army on Sept. 17, 1861 as an independent cavalry company under Captain J.F. Waring. They were deployed to Virginia, where they were attached to the Confederate Army's 6th Virginia Cavalry Regiment to bring it to full strength, and designated as the 6th Virginia Cavalry's Company E...

But not long after, the 6th Virginia Cavalry Regiment completed its organization of Virginia companies, and the Georgia Hussars were detached from the 6th Virginia, and attached to the Jeff Davis Legion, Mississippi Cavalry, Confederate States Army:

After the War the men of the company returned home to Georgia...
