Post your Wetplate image

I will have to look up his card, I think I have it in my basket. He is located around Hale Farm area. He also took a pic of a young couple who got engaged(Surprise!) on Sunday. It was really beautiful. I wonder if @Belle Montgomery knows who he is..she was across from him with her marvelous display.
As far as I know, Michael Rhodes was the only tintype photographer at Hale Farm.

What a great picture! That's a keeper for sure Alan!

I agree with Eleanor! @alan polk , you look fantastic. What a cute baby face too.

Why thank y'all!!

Oh to be young again! Yeah, baby face for sure...It ain't like that no more, though!! Like my grandmother used to whisper: "That salad's done turned!"

But thanks all the same!

I know I'm not supposed to swear on this forum, and I'm trying to be good. But when I saw your photo, @War Horse , I slipped! So let's just say that image is pretty bad-arse.

(Judges? Is "arse" okay? Bad Butt isn't quite as effective. Bad Keister sounds like someone you knew in high school. Bad Behind sounds absolutely ridiculous.)
LoriAnn, that's hilarious. You make me :)

He needs some hair decorations though..

I guess that was not part of the assignment. The pictured Elder had killed the deer with an arrow and he was assigned to use every part of that deer. Of course the meat was easy, but he made the buckskin, carved the buttons from the antlers, carved a knife handle, and he also made a sheath for the knife (you cannot see the knife -- it was strapped to his leg) odds and end of bone, etc were used on the necklace.

He needs a feather from Brother Eagle. Tied to his hair. I understand there is a waiting list for those..Only Native Americans can possess feathers from a bird of prey, especially an Eagle. Most feathers we see are goose. They are large and dye able. My friend has a very large brown flight feather. He's afraid to ID it, for fear it will be taken away. I say, If Brother Eagle gifts you with a feather, there is a reason. You just have to find it!
