Possible Confederate short sword or side knife

I picked up a possible Confederate Short sword or side knife. It has a blade 19-1/4 long 1-3/8 wide at the handguard. It is double edged spear point. Over all it's 24 inches long. Wood handle with groves cut into the wood. No scabbard. I looked in my Confederate bowie knife book and there is several knives made by the cooper iron works in Georgia that have handles very similar to mine. It has a broken chip out of the pommel cap I'm going to tell everyone that's where a Union revolver shot hit it and made the chip, Thats my story and I'm sticking to it !
