Possible Civil War Weapons?

Meh, screwitI'mgonnapuntfromthe50yardline. Congrats, Bravo 30. Now we just have to figure out what wackadoo pistola it is...
W. T. Swinburne, step on outta the pages of history!
He graduated from the Academy in 1866 as a Passed Midshipman. He was promoted to ensign in April 1868, master on March 26, 1869, lieutenant on March 21, 1880 and lieutenant commander in March 1887.

thats incredible!.....im overcome by the sheer volume of history that has unfolded before me.

Don't rest on your laurels - take the pic I requested, estimate the bore size. There's still Detecting & such to be done.

While we're waiting, I'm going to propose that this is some sort of copy of a .52 Perry Single Shot Navy Pistol. Note that the original is a tipping breach, while Bravo30's is a side-flopper. My guess is that the hammer has a rimfire firing pin setup and that the bore is .50 (actually .52). That'd be in keeping with the ammunition availability.

ROLLIN WHITE ARMS COMPANY SINGLE SHOT PISTOL....the pistol is engraved with 1866, the day he graduated from the academy. i had to use a jewelers loop on the cylinder to read what it said. piece of history ...

.32 rimfire 3'' barrel ....3,000 produced bewtween 1861-1864

Odd - your bore looks larger than a .32.
How about the .38 rimfire single shot?

or this
Only an estimated two to three hundred .38 caliber Rollin White single shot pistols were manufactured in the early 1860s

So purchased for a post-war dedication, but a wartime piece.

Nice pieces. The Twiggs flint lock is a no. What is the date on the side of the pocket pistol, it looks like 1866 so that would be a no. Now on the model 1852 Sharps. Lawrence was the company that made the rear sight assembly. Many of these were converted to fire a metallic cartridge so the bore would need to be looked at to see if it has any conversions. Here is a great book you can get on the Sharps.

Clearly not converted to cartridge. Get a nice mold and shoot it. PM me if you want to hit the range.

Just noticed, your Sharp's rear sight is a buckhorn (not original)

You need something like this http://www.ssfirearms.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SH206

I am going to look into that for sure. I would like to keep it as original as possible. do you think the rifle came from the factory with the double set trigger? from my research there were some that did most notably were Berdans Sharpshooters and the Pennsylvania Bucktails.

Yeah, as in this thread https://civilwartalk.com/threads/question-on-sharps-rifle.5423/

The Berdan contract rifles predate yours.

C-prefix Sharps are 1863+. See http://www.shilohrelics.com/cgi-bin/display_item.asp?113345 and if I read this table correctly, your rifle falls into the made-in-1865 range
