Hello everyone I received this pin and was wondering if anyone could he identify it is it civil war is it authentic and what company would it have been thanks to all

World War One era, but different. One disc usually was a "US" over regiment number. The troop letter under in this case crossed Cavalry sabers (branch). In this case it is the 1st Cav. It is called a type 1 collar disc. Type 2 discs would only have the
troop letter under the sabers.
