Pistol question

Has anyone seen what appears a period pistol, steel frame with a heavy duty looking cylinder, and the only markings on side are "patent system"?

The barrel is regular length 6 1/4, cylinder ornately engraved, but nothing like colt pattern.

It looks like baby walker kinda, not full frame. Were there any British firms knocking out similar copies of colts, besides Colt?

I do think those words were added to inexpensive guns as a marketing ploy, denoting quality the item might not have deserved!

A classic Belgian made colt knockoff. Some are quality, some are poorly made.

Some are diabolical - and they were still making them up until 1914 and selling them off to Turkey and the Balkans.!
