I picked up another British made Revolver. It looks like an Adams but it is a wedge frame two piece frame like a Colt only difference this gun has a top strap where a Colt does not. The serial Number is 5469 or 5769 I'm leaning toward 5469. There is a makers or dealers name on the top strap but I can't make it out. I posted a couple pictures of the name Please see if you can see a name. The name looks like it has & Son after it. The wedge frame were cheaper to make than a Adams . The Adams was a solid cast frame where this gun was made in two parts and held together with a wedge like a Colt. The English connection said there is documents showing where the south ordered several hundred of these. Also these guns were made in Birmingham England the Adams was made in London. Only other markings are proof marks on the bottom of the barrel and on each chamber on the cylinder, It works, kind of The hand spring is broken so in order to cock the gun and rotate the cylinder you have to hold the gun barrel down toward the floor. It is a 44 caliber. Very pleased to get this one. You don't see a lot od Adams, Tranter or these wedge frames for sale like you do Colts and Remington's.
