Thought you might like to see my Colt revolver collection.
From top to bottom.
1860 fluted cylinder Colt serial number 1164
1860 round cylinder Colt Serial number 33333
1851 Colt U.S. marked
1851 London made Colt in relic condition found in the wall of a house in Gainesville Al. along with a Confederate 1840 saber .
1862 Colt police model serial number 226
1849 Colt pocket model made in 1859
and 2 different models of Colt Root revolvers (there were about 5 or 6 different models of this revolver) I looked up what models i have and i think it was 2 and 5 but I'm not sure if that's right.

You got me to thinking about how many Civil War Colts I have (been a while since I had them all out). Hope it's OK that I glom on to your thread :thumbsup:

Model 1860 Army number 5305, circa 1860 (awaiting factory letter)
Model 1851 Navy number 96291, circa 1860 (tried to letter, no records found)
Model 1860 Army number 56073, circa 1862 (factory letter)
Model 1851 Navy (US marked) number 55967, circa 1856
Model 1849 Hartford 6" number 181363, circa 1860
Model 1849 Hartford 5" number 181626, circa 1860
Model 1849 Hartford 4" number 176260, circa 1860
