Period correct face coverings

I'm going to participate in an even next weekend and was told we need period correct face covering for because of Covid19. What would be considered period correct? Scarf? Bandanna? I have read before bandannas we're not common during the CW. Any ideas?

You can find period correct handkerchiefs, there are pretty big and can be used the same as a bandana. Regimental Quartermaster and South Union Mills carry them. South Union Mills has a better selection but Regimental Quartermaster is a little quicker shipping out, if they have them in stock, if you need them right away.
