Percussion Caps

We saw yesterday a new percussion cap machine invented by Mr. W.W. Johnson, of Knoxville, in this state, which is capable of turning out about 150,000 nearly formed caps per day. This machine appears to be the very thing for which it was designed. It can be worked either by hand or steam. Mr. Johnson has sold the machine he has with him to a company in Memphis, who are going into the manufacture of caps. We understand he has applied for a patent for his invention.
Nashville Union.
