I cant seem to get a handle on the Pedersoli Enfield nipple threads.
Ive heard here 5/16 x 20
Dixiegunworks says 8 x 1.25

Im trying to buy a couple Ampco nipples but i need to know which one.

Anyone know?

I would settle for a link to Ampco nipples that are known to fit too.

Thank

The original p53s were 5/16 x 18, which is the English size. I can tell you the cone threads for the Pedersoli Enfields are 5/16 x 20, and they are not anything metric. I was just shooting my Pedersoli at the historic weapons demos out at STRI battlefield park earlier today. I took the cone out of the bolster to clean it after the programs ended. It is still 5/16 x 20, same as last time.

Thanks.
So then the problem seems to be i cant find an Ampco nipple listed as being that size.

8mm is .315 inches, 5/16 is .312 inches --- 20 threads to the inch is a pitch of .050 inches, 1.25mm is a pitch of .049 inches
in other words they would be real close to the same thing. 5/16 -20 isn't a normal thread size, but there might be such a thing anyway. 5/16 - 24 is the normal fine thread. I have seen 5/16 - 32.

Just wanted to try one. Ive heard good things.
Stainless are good too.
Either way i go, i just prefer to get the correct size.

I own a Pedersoli Enfield musketoon the thread is 8mm X 1.25mm bought my spare nipple from TOTW.
If you try to force a nipple with the wrong thread you're just asking for trouble down the road.
