Is it me or is this photo opposite of what it should be? reversed?
If we are looking down the pike shouldn't the Seminary be on the right of the photo? South East if looking down the pike.
And it also looks like the RR cut is visible on the right of the photo in the distance...should be left side.

Here is a 1916 photo of the portion of the Chambersburg pike that ran through Seven Stars, a small hamlet between Gettysburg and Cashtown that Confederates from the 1st and 3rd Corps passed on the way to Gettysburg.
The house on the right (red in the modern photo) and the house further on the right (with bay windows) still stand today as seen in the "now" photo. All of the buildings on the left of the pike that stood in 1916 are gone and there now stands the "30 West" car lot.
The view is looking west along the Chambersburg pike.
