Impressions Overshirts in a Florida unit

Would a wool overshirt be accurate for a private in a Floridia Confederate infantry unit?

Depends if you can find any period accounts and descriptions of them. I've not seen many images of coatless Floridians. But there's one I know of:

William Denham, 1st Florida Infantry, not sure if its an overshirt, but its a shirt, and its pretty plain:

Most of the troops that came out of Florida were either sent to the ANV or AoT so they were supplied accordingly shortly after getting there. Florida had no clothing depots of their own so they shipped put with whatever they had on their back or whatever local authorities could scrounge up. I've read early on they acquired some goods from Georgia and there is a photo of a Florida soldier wearing the distinctive Georgia state jacket. I do recall a photo of a Florida soldier in an over shirt. I'm on the road for a couple more days and only have my phone. I'll look for it when I can get to my computer.

@floridaconfederate04 which unit are you going to portray? If it's the 2nd, 5th, 8th, then late war 9th, 10th, and 11th you'd want to outfit in Richmond Depot items. The 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 7th were with the Army of Tennessee, Columbus Depot would be a good choice.

Thank you. I go between the 1st Florida and the 3rd Mississippi so I was hoping that I could wear an overshirt for at least one of those units if not both but I'm having trouble finding photos to back it up
