Ingredients:

3/4 lb. common almonds​
30 bitter almonds blanched​
5 pints skimmed milk​
1 pint water​
1/2 lb. sugar​
1 large piece of cinnamon​
1 spoonful of brandy​
1 spoonful of rose-water​

Instructions:

Pound three-quarters of a pound of common almonds, and thirty bitter almonds blanched; mix them with five pints of skimmed milk; boil one pint of water with half a pound of sugar and a large piece of cinnamon; let it remain until it be cold, and then mix it with the milk. Strain the whole through a sieve, add a spoonful of brandy and one of rose-water.​
