Not much seems to be known, some folk think provenance is 1862, made in Alabama, AoT usage, but this is speculation from other poster's on another BB, no real proof. I think only 4 originals exist.
I wish I could be of real help.

It can be found on page 209 of Echoes of Glory. Used by a North Carolina soldier.
