Anytime my dear friends from across the pond come over we have a MIS gathering. Every time I suggested a place @rebel brit would say been there. So it was easier to ask where have you NOT been. So we decided to get of the beaten path and do all the small running battles of North Georgia. Our ranks were smaller this trip as our beloved @Ole Miss and @redbob are wounded and are recuperating and I really hope David gets better soon and Bob should be able to go next trip as he is listed as walking wounded
and @NH Civil War Gal couldn't make it down from yankeeland.
Day 1 were started up at Ringgold and worked down to Dalton. I know Gill @Sbc and @Drew took a lot more photos than I did.
I have not been up there since they put the new Gen Cleburne statue up in Ringgold and with the fine details in it, I thought Ken had done it but he did know of the sculptor. It is an awesome statue that was dedicated in 2009.
Our next stops were at a few of the running battles between Ringgold and Dalton.
Our next stop was Dalton and I'll post it later as there was a lot going on there especially at the Confederate cemetery
