I learned the other day that no death mask was made of Lincoln.

One of the myths surrounding Lincoln is that a death mask was made after his assassination. In fact, Lincoln had two life masks done, five years apart.

This is what has been referred to as the death mask. It was done in February 1865 by Clark Mills.
