Newspaper Ads, What War?

Keep saving some of the more entertaining or eye-catching ads when they pop up. You try to see, as a housewife smoothing wrinkles from the paper after one's husband was finished mangling the thing each morning, what would have worked- what would have sold one a magic potion to ease aches or which stove you'd circle for your wish list, which milliner had the best sale. I know I'd have been a sucker for some of these. Smack in the middle of a war, all of them, life and commerce goes on.
