Just introducing myself,

I'm the CEO of ISSI UXO & Consulting LLC near Huntsville, we're the oldest surviving Unexploded Ordnance Provider in the Western Hemisphere.
I'm a retired Army SFC and Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician with 23 years of service.

I have a very strong background in pre-1914 Munitions, and have handled a large amount of them all over the world to include inerting and museum preservation (no...I don't just blow em up!).
I am involved in a Historical project to collect information on "Black Powder era"(roughly 1492-1914) Ordnance for North America and am looking for any and all Munitions/Ordnance reference material for that period.

If I can be of any technical assistance, please feel free to contact me here or by email.

I am absolutely swamped with material for the US Civil War/War of Northern Aggression... but have precious little more for the rest of the time period.

Seeking Material for:
Conquistadorez Period
Mexican-Indian Wars
King Williams War
War of the Spanish Succession
Russian Pacific Northwest
War of the Austrian Succession
Seven Years/French & Indian War
American War of Independence
War of 1812
Texas War of Independence
Missouri Mormon War
Mexican American War
US Civil War
French Intervention into Mexico/Pastry War
Spanish American War
Mexican Revolutions (various up to 1921)

Welcome from Southern Oregon (northern Jefferson).

We can use a guy like you here. I've seen a number of posts from people who have found ordnance and want to know what to do with it (short of calling the bomb squad to blow it up). It would be really interesting if you could post a bit about your work with historic ordnance. Photos would be great too. Just a thought.

Welcome from Maryland. :bomb:

(Just in case he ever decides to check back in...)

For Texas Revolution ordnance information,
You may either contact me here on CWT via private conversation, or get in touch with James V. Woodrick or Rick Range.

I don't want to post up private contact info, but you can head over to the Alamo Society page and William Groneman and/or Bill Chemerka should be able to put you in touch with them.

You'll find them here:
