Need script deciphered

In a letter I have a type of business is mentioned three times and I'll be gollied if I can figure out what it is. At another page the author notes that it was disagreeable work and he had to deal with low-class types. Anyway, if anybody can decipher the word I'd be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Agree almost entirely with deciphered script shown in previous post. My interpretation of each of the three arrow pointed lines is:-

First line ...'in the Lottery business back, as the'...

Second line ...'into the Lottery, or Broker business, as both'...

Third line ...'in the Lottery Officer would again be secured in'...

Lottery is what I get. I think in the second instance he's calling it a "broken" business, which would also fit with him calling it disagreeable. In the mid-nineteenth century private lotteries had become quite disreputable.
