Need Help (Total Vanity)

Not to long ago on another thread one of the posters, far more knowledgeable than I, posted information on the Pope's alleged recognition of the Confederate government. IIRC, it included copies of letters from the U.S. ambassador or the Pope's representative. Could someone point me to what discussion that information is on? I've got a discussion going on another site and it would be helpful.

I hope this helps. I put Pope and the Confederacy in the Search option. Two threads came up on the Pope and the Confederacy.

1. Jefferson Davis and Pope Pius IX started on 3/18/2011 by me.

2. Vatican Recognition of the CSA started 8/24/2007

I will bring them up.
