My goodness that was fast? I think that you are correct. Essay as a verb is very rarely used today, but it checks all the boxes. Thank you and I must say "Impressive!"

I read a lot of old script! Example B is tough. It looks like it was overwritten and that's obscuring it.

You, however, are, as the Brits would say "spot on" and "you got it in one"

I read a lot of old script! Example B is tough. It looks like it was overwritten and that's obscuring it.

Perhaps "manifold?" as in [multiple approach plan] or intention I think that's my best guess.
