Need a little help.
I've been told there was a Civil War camp at the location of what is now Milby Park in Houston Texas just of Old Galveston rd. Sims Bayou runs right next to the spot with Buffalo Bayou not too far away.
Although could have been a camp after the war?
Several of us finds evidence something was there. Not sure what.
But again, several people detecting the spot say they know it was a civil war camp.

Does anyone know who was there, if anyone at all?

I wish I knew. That would be a good site for a camp, though -- plenty of fresh water and close to Buffalo Bayou for water transportation, and to rail lines as well. It was on the edge of Harrisburg, which was still a working little town in the 1860s, since swallowed up by Houston, some miles farther west, in the 1920s.
