For years I have kept in my mind a journal story a soldier wrote describing the infamous "Nassau Bacon" where he describes a gray colored ooze that sagged on the end of a bayonet and I believe he also discussed chewing on it for an entire day like gum (sounds horrific).
Now I cant find this story. Do any of you recall this written piece and where it was from?
