Can anyone tell me the date that Keogh rejoined Buford's staff after his brief period with General McClellan? I know McClellan was relieved on November 7, 1862 and therefore it may have been at that point but can this be confirmed?

Also can anyone tell me that date he joined McClellan's staff? I believe he was on McClellans staff before the battle of South Mountain (14 September 1862) and after Second Bull Run (28-30 August 1862) and so arguably it falls within the period 31 August-13 September 1862.

Appears Keogh joined McClellan's staff immediately after the battle of Port Republic in the Valley where had been a captain on James Shields' staff and left immediately after McClellan was fired.

Thanks chum, but I believe he was on Bufords staff from 31 July 1862 until a date in September 1862.
