My New Project

This is my first sewing project. Im going with the 2nd Pattern Hardee Flag. My 6th MS ancestors would have carried into Shiloh.

Top border and center oval is about all I have at the moment. I am hand stitching everything. Its my first sewing project other than poke sacks. Takes me a while lol I'm no Betsy Ross.

I'm calling it quits for tonight. Going to paint the "6 MISS." tomorrow and finish the borders. Should be ready to carry with me to Tallassee, AL this weekend for the reenactment.

Looks like a good project.
Years ago, I made a Car Tag from the front of my Truck. I painted it as a Hardy Flag for 30 Mississippi Regiment. For grins, I added Crossed Cannon in center and Regiment ID and LOOKOUT MTN to the blue field. I thought it was cool but I eventually took it off---probably when I sold my pea-cup.

"Hey everybody, got this new flag here...I just made it."
"Yeah, you like it? Made it!"
"No, I didn't find this online. It's hand sewn by me. Yep. Made it myself!"


(I'm unbearable to live with after I finish knitting a sweater.)
