Good evening everyone, what is the most authentic " battle " you have participated in at reenactments? For me it was my very first fight in 2012 when I was 16. We where part of the attacking federal at the battle of cloyds mountain, VA. We formed our lines in the woods and moved aginst a entrenched enemy. What made it some what realistic was before moving in to the fight we where ordered to fix bayonets and charged and took some reb artillery before being driven back by a counter charge by the cs troops . I took a hit in our panicked fight and dramatically rolled down the hill we just went up lol.

Rich Mountain 2006 campaigner event. I was in the lead company and we were deployed as skirmishers in the thick woods at the top of the mountain. Fixed bayonets, rammers, heavy skirmishing, all while our packs were still down at the bottom of the mountain. I've done just about every other type of scenario people have dreamt up for the last thirty years - Rich Mountain still sticks with me.
