Judging by the imbeciles that had the nerve to deface something they don't have the first clue about, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that clarity & logic aren't exactly strong traits they exhibit.

The idiocy of acts like these on all historical monuments and markers really are an affront, and infuriate me. I can only hope this foolishness ends soon, once and for all.

Obviously, that doesn't come with funds to maintain it. I actually didn't know that. One would assume it did.

Being placed on the national register opens up a lot of doors for other sources of funding in the form of grants, etc., but it doesn't actually bring any direct financial aid.
