It's also getting close to St Patrick's Day, When we can all ring the cow bell (and bend an elbow) for the Irish Ninth!

When 50,000 of the Mississippi State fans start ringing their "sacred" cowbells after a gain of one on their own twenty, it's very comical.

When this image appeared in Miller's Photographic History the Cowbell sign had different lettering. A bit of retouching perhaps?

I'm sure the ending wasn't planned when they recorded it. If you listen carefully, at one point you can hear someone in the background say, "Stop... stop!" and someone else say, "Don't listen to 'im!!"
