I know some people don't care for the Pennsylvania monument at Gettysburg because it's so big but it has a lot of meaning for me. I have a bunch of relatives whose names are listed on that monument so its definitely one of my favorites and one of my first stops every visit.

I love the Pennsylvania monument. Though huge and gaudy and a bit over the top, it was meant to show that if not for Pennsylvania's contribution, the Army of the Potomac doesn't win.

As your host, let me ask that, for those who don't know your monument is at Chickamauga, you put more information about the monument in your post. Thanks.
Weather at Manassas was stellar, Gettysburg was very hot and humid...as usual! But we were dry, which from what I hear is some sort of minor miracle on the East Coast this summer. Got some great sunset photos of Jackson's monument, the weather cooperated beautifully!
I recently posted a thread about a 1977 visit to Fort Donelson NMP at Dover, Tennessee, but made these more recent photos of the 1933 Confederate Monument there during a visit this June. It sits on what had been the Confederate defense line; note the broken flagstaff behind the figure of the soldier on the monument itself, no doubt a reference to the 1862 surrender of the fort.
Inscriptions on either side of the base of the monument.
My second battlefield visit was at Mansfield Battlefield State Park. Others have already posted pics in the last 2-3 weeks of the Texas and Louisiana monuments there. I offer the Mouton/Polignac Monument:
