So the hub wafer was what we now call a necco.cool.

Thank you for the recipes @amweiner . I might have the chef makes some of these as she has expressed a love for molasses. To me it is ok. My mom never made much using it, but I do remember that she did keep it on hand for cooking. Thanks again.
