What do you think it denotes?
Sorry. I don't readily know what the symbol could denote, but there might be many possibilities - maybe it's some sort of non-alpha character trademark.

Also, I don't think it represents a 'W' because both outer vertical lines of the character shown are not sufficiently sloped outwards (from bottom to top) - if that makes sense.

It makes sense. I am looking through my others to see if that one is a one-off or if there are more like it.
