I am also looking for information on George W. Pugh Civil War Servant Union 2nd Regiment West Virginia Calvary company H both men are my ancestoets and I would love to find out more about them and the wars they fought in.

That regiment was actually from Ohio, despite the name.

If you search through that book I posted from Archive.org it has numerous references to Sunshine Church so you can get a sense of what happened there.

This book is suppose to have numerous references on the 14th Ill Cav and looks like used books are as cheap as $0.01.

Well I do find other (believe it or not) Martin Van Buren Clines on Ancestry, and one indeed died in 1924 but in Ohio. But I only find one Martin Van Buren Cline that served in any Illinois units and that was the 14th Ill Cav.

Parents David Simeon Cline and Anna Belle Berry. Wife was Lavina Brown born in 1824 died July 9,1908
