Looking for Events to Attend

Anyone know of any events coming up in the Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee or Mississippi area?

Well, the Port Hudson event is still ON November 6-7. Bout 30 miles from Mississippi, and 15 miles north of Baton Rouge. Is that close enough?

Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I'm already committed to a local event that weekend... If it doesn't get canceled.

Hurricane Shoals weekend of September 18th and 19th.

I'll be in Georgia in two weeks for a campaigner event "Rosecran's Pursuit" if you want to look it up, they have a site. I'd give a link but just have my phone handy at the moment. Not sure if registration is still open. I believe there's an event in Andersonville in early October.

Registration isn't still open, but I'll be out of town for my birthday that weekend anyway. I'm really considering Hurricane Shoals, just don't know anyone that I could fall in with. I'll probably go as Federal, the little local events usually have a shortage of the boys in blue.

Oh yeah, southern events welcome blue with open arms. I do the Florida winter events and always pack a blue suite just in case, they're always asking for volunteers. Just the opposite up here in the Northeast.

I am actually doing Northern Assistant Surgeon impression at Hurricane Shoals. I reenact on both sides just depends on what the group I reenact with chooses.

I'll just mosey up and see who I can find to fall in with. Also theres an event up in Tennessee the following weekend. Might have to make a choice between the two.
